In this grow journal the plant will be grown under these conditions:
Lighting: T5 Fluorescent for young veg / 250w MH for veg / 600w HPS for flower
Light Cycle: 18/6 & 12/12
Temperature: 24-27°C
Grow Space: Indoor – Tent 1.2m x 1.2m x2m
Medium: Canna Coco in 11 Liter Pots
PH level: 5.8-6.2
Nutrients: Canna A&B / Ryzotonic / Calmag / Green planet massive / Liquid silicon

Seedling

So I germed these in a moist paper towel until the taproot showed. One seed never showed any root. 3 have been above ground in little half-liter pots. One that never showed root got planted anyway. Today I saw it had moved the surface soil slightly and I can see something poking out slightly. So hopefully it will have its head up by tomorrow.

I soaked the pots with water containing 3 ml of Canna Ryzotonic per 1lt of water. PH’d at 5.8. I have really soft water so EC reads 0.2

Here is the best seedling, it has been above ground for two days now.

Leaves are getting some size now, plenty of time to go until harvest day! Added some calmag, A&B, and Rhizo. Ec is at 0.7 EC and Ph is 5.8

Vegetation

Pure Power Plant Vegetation – 11 Days old

Starting to get a nice little colour and size to them now. I don’t like these little pots and they have been left in them a bit too long. Once they are in bigger pots, I will switch from this T5 light to a 250w MH light.

Pure Power Plant Vegetation – 16 Days old

I only kept 3 of the 4 plants as the late seedling was too behind and couldn’t handle the stronger nutrients the other 3 were on. Plants are on full veg feed at 1.2 EC now.

Plants are going okay for day 16, could be further ahead but keeping them in a 0.5 liter pot too long held them back. Luckily I am not in a rush! Plants are in their 11-liter pots now and will start growing properly.

Pure Power Plant Vegetation – 21 Days old (3 weeks)

Things are really taking shape now that I have been watering on a daily basis. Plants are being casually tied down to create more heads. I will consider flipping them into flower soon.

The plants are looking nice together now. I am flipping them to a 12/12 light schedule tonight to get them to flower.

Flowering

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 1

White pistons just came out so I will class this is day 1 of flowering of my three Pure Power Plant plants!

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 7 (1 week)

I turned the HPS from 250w to 600w today. Plants are building so many bud sites so it looks like it is going to be a very nice yield if everything stays on track! I stopped giving root additives today so no more Rhizo.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 14 (2 weeks)

Many large fan leaves were covering bud sites so I removed some. I tucked leaves under the canopy where possible and removed the rest. Bud sites are still appearing and getting bigger.

Some pictures with the lights off here. Absolutely looks spot on for day 18 of flower. Always heard Pure Power Plant was a huge yielder and this grow journal will hopefully prove that!

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 21 (3 weeks)

Fantastic progress, I can see a good difference every time I open the tent now. THC starting to show all over the bud sites.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 28 (4 weeks)

I have the feed on 1.5 EC now and I am adding Canna PK to get the ratios correct for flowering. Beastly colas forming all over the place.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 42 (6 weeks)

Over the last 2 weeks, the buds growth has been explosive under the 600W HPS.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 49 (7 weeks)

Getting some really stunning colours coming through in the buds as they start to mature. Leaves fingers are looking long and thin like a true Sativa. The Dark Wizard Genetics page states flowering of Pure Power Plant takes 10 weeks. At this rate, I can’t see this needing to go any longer than 10 weeks so that is good news.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 63 (9 weeks)

There is only 1 week left so I will begin to flush the plants with pure water from now on (I will still Ph the water to 5.8). The buds are so dense I can’t even imagine how heavy they will be! Love dense nugs.

Pure Power Plant Flower – Day 70 (10 weeks)

The yield is going to be monster-sized! This Pure Power Plant plant has the hardest buds I have ever felt. I am harvesting today so will begin to chop the plants down tonight. Plants had 7 days of water to flush them. The plants are looking so ripe and lush.

Harvest

The trimming is all finished, just leaving them 7 days to dry now. It looks like it might be one of my best yields ever. So many colas from just three plants, looking forward to weighing it.

How much did Pure Power Plant yield?

From 3 plants under a 600W HPS, the yield was 520 grams which is 18.5 ounces of dry cannabis. There were also a couple of ounces of rougher bits that were used for edibles, making the final yield just over 6.5 ounces per pant!

How long did Pure Power Plant take to flower?

The plants all took 10 weeks to flower from the first show of white pistons.

How tall will Pure Power Plant grow?

All the plants underwent quite a bit of LST which kept them much shorter. The final heights were around 1 meter. Without the low-stress training, it would have been a good bit taller.

Was Pure Power Plant easy to grow?

This strain was easy to grow but does take a couple of weeks longer than some other strains. I was a little worried about bud rot because they were so dense but there was never any rot or pests etc.
